Atlantic Crossing productions, David Emanuel, seamus lyte & Half Yard Productions, ink development deal

Executive producer David Emanuel has secured a multi-title development deal with California-based Atlantic Crossing Productions and Say Yes to the Dress creator Half Yard Productions.

Under the agreement, Emanuel will create and develop bespoke lifestyle content for the North American market, with a specific focus on design and bridal shows.

In co-production with Half Yard Productions are Emanuel’s manager and co-producer Seamus Lyte of Seamus Lyte Management, and producing partners Kerry David and Diana Howie of Atlantic Crossing Productions.

Emanuel is currently working alongside Half Yard on the UK version of TLC’s bridal series Say Yes to the Dress, on which he is series host and creative director. The UK bridal gown series premiered on TLC in the U.S. earlier this month.

Emanuel is best known for having designed the wedding dress worn by Diana Princess of Wales in 1981.

“We were confident that a Say Yes to the Dress UK would find a devoted and loyal audience because of the incredibly relatable characters and strong story lines,” said Abby Greensfelder and Sean Gallagher, founders and co-CEOs at Half Yard Productions, in a statement. “We have enjoyed our working relationship with David Emanuel and Seamus Lyte and felt there was an opportunity to develop ideas with him more broadly. David’s humor, his legacy as a multi-talented artist and designer and rapport with brides of every personality, makes him a strong partner for us.”

“I am very excited to develop shows with Half Yard Productions and Atlantic Crossing Productions, both of whom have been terrific creative partners on separate projects,” added Emanuel. “Now we get to join forces to develop wonderful formats for the U.S. and Canadian audiences.”
